The Lending Cupboard - Free Medical Equipment and Supplies

Fun Facts

The Lending Cupboard has approximately 5,400 pieces of medical equipment in our inventory with approximately 75% lent out at any given time.
The Lending Cupboard has about 80 volunteers who in 2010 volunteered a total of 7,279 hours.
In an average day (5 hours in duration), the Lending Cupboard lends out 46 pieces of equipment and has 40 pieces of equipment returned back.
Our primary loan area extends East to Stettler, West to Rocky Mountain House, South to Calgary and North to Edmonton.
While the organization is a Non-Profit Society, it costs approximately $15,000 each month to keep our doors open. (See bottom of page.) We are dependent upon grants and donations in order to stay operational. Persons wishing to donate can do so in person at The Lending Cupboard, by mail or by going to our website at www.lendingcupboard.ca (the link for donations is on the left hand side of the screen).
The Lending Cupboard is open Monday, Wednesday and Friday, from 10am – 3pm.
In addition to donations, we are always in need of additional volunteers. If you are interested in volunteering, applications can be obtained from The Lending Cupboard or by going to our website at www.lendingcupboard.ca to download the application.

The Operating Costs are for Rent, Supplies, Utilities, and Wages for our Part Time Staff.
