Before his death in 2008 my father Erwin Lutz was lucky enough to receive a much needed scooter from the Lending Cupboard. We passed it on to someone who, like Dad, would not have been able to purchase one. Thanks for all the wonderful work you do!

May the spirit of the season carry you into the new year.

Dianne Pedriks

To The Lending Cupboard,

We greatly appreciate the use of your equipment. Without it, we would not have been able to keep Grandma comfortable when she was home. Special people like you make the world a brighter place.

Sincerely,
Lucille Lemieux and family

"Dear Friends @ LC; Thank you so very much for your gracious, loving spirits. My Dad was in need of a lift to transfer him. We prayed one day; I phone you; you supplied. And my parents live in Rocky Mtn. House! May God bless you and the work you do and may LC prosper."
- Pat and Bill Shaw

"I want to take this opportunity to congratulate you on your serious dedication to making our community a better and more caring place to live. I know the need is great. Congratulations on the grand opening of this much needed facility." - Bob Mills, Member Of Parliament - Red Deer

"Enclosed please find recent profits from a garage sale! I read with interest and admiration your efforts to meet a need in the community. Please accept this small donation in appreciation for this wonderful service which you are providing. It has enabled me to return home and it looks like I could remain there in comfort for years. This is the sort of idea which I wish I was the one who came up with it." - U. I. Graham

"Whilst visiting in the hospital, we referred a dear old gentleman to your service ........ the hospital were telling him it would cost him $1000 to outfit his home prior to him being able to leave the hospital. This was a real hardship for the family, and he and his family were delighted to learn of your wonderful service!" - Hazel Flewwelling

Madam,

What a good idea you had when you started up The Lending Cupboard!

Scheduled for orthopedic surgery later this month, I and my wife were at your premises last Friday and were able to borrow the half dozen items which I am told I will need for convalescence. The people were pleasant; the place was clean and airy; the process of signing the equipment over - together with some useful education - took only ten minutes.

The point is an obvious one: had I been confronted with having to buy a walker, cane, crutches and the rest of it, I would not have known what to buy nor where to get it. And we would have spent perhaps a thousand dollars. As it transpires, I feel that I have been looked after by some caring professionals. Thankyou.

We have decided that you should be on our list of once-a-year 'charities'. Likewise, I have let my bank (Servus) know that you should continue to be on their list.

Please accept the enclosed small donation.

Best wishes to you,
Peter Priest, married to Dorothy Robinson-Priest

Please accept this donation. My father John Turnover has recently borrowed a wheelchair & hospital bed. They have significantly improved life for him already.

Thank You

The enclosed donation is made with thanks for the use of your equipment at the time of my son Gordon's knee surgery. They were a real godsend and it was a pleasure to deal with your society. The volunteers were very knowledgable and friendly and are to be commended.

Thank you for offering such a needed service to the citizens of Central Alberta. It helps to make for a less stressful time at the time of a loved one's illness.

Sincerely,
Norene Sifert

I would like to thank you for your service. All these items my husband brought from your place on Dec. 10/07 were very helpful to me. Someone else will never know how important these items are to the one who is experiencing lots of pain after a major surgery.

I want to thank you from the bottom of my heart for your service. May the Lord bless you & the service you provide in the community. Thank you again.

Sincerely
Mrs. G. Stout

Hello, and congratulations on your first anniversary! I was fortunate enough to borrow a commode chair from you to make a trip possible for my hadicapped mother last Sept. As it turns out, the trip to the cabin that her husband and her had built on the 60's, and their favorite place on earth, ended up being her last time there, as she passed away. Thank you for making her time there easier.

What a wonderful concept you have for needful people! Our family did donate the equipment my mom had and I'm sure someone else was equally grateful. Again, congratulations and all the best for continued success.

You are the bestest!
Donna Sandberg

Dear Caring People at The Lending Cupboard,

Thank you so much for all the great equipment you loaned me and for making the borrowing actually fun! It was all a tremendous help. I'm enclosing a small token of my gratitude. Your kindness is warmly appreciated.

With very best wishes for your health and happiness,
June Alexander

This letter is to say thank you for your assistance with our family's efforts to keep our Mom, Gail Perry, living at home as long as possible when she became palliative with brain cancer. Mom was diagnosed in late September of 2006 and had surgery on October 3. She passed away four months later on February 4, 2007. We were able to keep her at home from mid November up until 5 days before she passed away. This contributed so greatly to her quality of life in her last few months.

Our family wishes to thank your Society for assisting with equipment, advice, and understanding throughout this process. It is times like this that the generosity of the community is so apparent.

Please accept this small donation as a token of appreciation from our family. It is a portion of the donations that we received at Mom's funeral, so no tax receipt is required.

Thanks again, and we wish you success as you continue to support clients and their families to stay living in their homes as long as possible.

Sincerely,
Lisa Scott

Many thanks on behalf of the Lettner family, for making available the use of this walker for our mom, Rita Lettner.

Even though she used it only a few times, we are grateful for the peace of mind it gave her, knowing that there was a possibility for her to get out for a walk should she have wanted to.

May this donation be used to bless someone else with a similar opportunity.

Thanks again,
Karen Boston
(for the Lettner family)
